The Capstone Concert marks the culmination of jazz studies at the University of Saskatchewan for drummer Max Agnew and bassist Ronin Sawitsky. Max and Ronin start the night with a quintet set featuring Noel Doll (piano), J.P. Simard (guitar), and Ethan Yee (alto sax). For the second set, Max and Ronin perform with special guest, the Stone Frigate Big Band. Max and Ronin are deeply connected to Saskatoon’s jazz scene, coming through Evan Hardy Collegiate’s band program, the Saskatoon Youth Jazz Orchestra, and now perform with the University of Saskatchewan Jazz Ensemble.Sponsored by St. John's Music
