Victoria Capital Regional District Youth Forum / Forum Jeunesse


Date & Time

March 15–19, 2026 (5 days)
Each day will include a mix of leadership workshops, cultural immersion, community-action sessions and youth showcase opportunities.


Location

Victoria, British Columbia
Base location: Visits & community engagement activities will take place in the Greater Victoria region.


Who can attend

Youth aged 14–25 from low-income households, who are ready to step into leadership, engage culturally and drive change in their communities.
Spaces limited to approximately to ensure meaningful engagement.


What to expect
  • Leadership & Skill-Building Workshops – Develop your voice, confidence and capacity to lead in your community.
  • Cultural Immersion & Community Engagement – Explore the region's rich heritage, meet local changemakers, and participate in service-learning activities.
  • Civic & Social Action Planning – Work in teams to design a mini-project or initiative you'll present at a youth showcase towards the end of the week.
  • Youth Showcase – A culminating event where each participant or team presents their action plan, reflections, and next steps to peers and community supporters.
  • Networking, Mentorship & Fun – Connect with other young leaders from diverse backgrounds, engage with mentors, and build friendships that last beyond the event.

Registration & Fees
  • Application deadline: November 15, 2025.
  • Approximate cost: $275 per day (excluding airfare/travel to Victoria) for full access to the 5-day program. Subsidies available. a
  • Confirmed participants will receive a detailed itinerary, travel logistics and accommodation guidance.

Important Details
  • Travel to/from Victoria is the responsibility of participants (unless otherwise subsidized).
  • Accommodation details will be provided upon acceptance of your registration.
  • Participants will be expected to commit fully to the 5-day schedule (workshops, visits, and evening wrap-up sessions).
  • Accessibility & inclusive practice are core to the event design; let organizers know of any needs during registration.
