This event is a FREE one-way Adventure bike group ride from the Pittsburgh area to the Mohican State Forest in Loudonville, OH. The route is roughly 190 miles consisting mostly of township roads and being about 80% gravel & dirt roads. The route is pre-mapped with the GPX files available to participants ahead of time.
**You MUST have the GPX file loaded onto your navigation device prior to the event.**
We will do a staggered start in small groups of 4 riders every 10 minutes in order to keep dust down and traffic to a minimum.
The meeting point is the Bavington Roadhouse parking lot at 9am Saturday May 23rd located on Steubenville Pike (Old Route 22) just East of Burgettstown , PA. There is NO PARKING at the Bavington Roadhouse! If you need to park a vehicle, please use one of the Parking Lots located in Hillman State Park which is nearby.
With people starting on their own in small groups, having a handlebar mount GPS unit or cell Phone App that allows you to view and Navigate the GPX file is important. Each small group will have to have at least 2 navigators who will lead their group. I'd like as many people as possible to have the GPX file loaded to their device prior to arriving to save time and complications.
Group sizes are going to be 4 bikes and I'll be starting a new group every 10 minutes starting around 9:15-9:30am. The ride should take in the neighborhood of roughly 7 hours depending on stops and speeds. Myself and another rider will be heading out last as a sweep to make sure there's no issues along the route.

Port Washington, OH
Killbuck, OH (located slightly off the route)
Once arriving in Loudonville around dinner time, we will have an informal dirty riding gear dinner gathering at Trails End Restaurant. They are open until 9pm on Saturdays.
Contact local Mohican campgrounds near Loudonville AHEAD of TIME to book reservations you need for camping! They are extremely busy this time of year.
