With roughly 40 murals completed on the east coast and participation in 21 exhibitions, Dathan Kane's shapes have become recognizable throughout Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic States.
He has been featured on WHRO's docuseries, ‘Curate’, was the 2023 White Claw muralist for Pharrel Williams’ ‘Something in the Water’ Festival,' & recently completed a mural for Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s ‘Summer of Wonder.’
Additionally, Kane is a part of various prominent collections, including the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (Richmond, Va), and The Capital One Corporate Collection.
This spring, ‘The World of Shapes TOUR,' made its first two stops, showcasing Kane's fully immersive mural exhibitions at Visible Records in Charlottesville, Virginia and at the CAN Offsite Gallery in City Center at Oyster Point in Newport News, Virginia. The tour’s exhibitions feature murals, paintings, film, and sculpture.
This July, the tour travels West, where it will serve as the inaugural exhibition and opening of Foursight Shop. The exhibition’s opening reception takes place on August 4, 2024 from 4-8 pm. While in Phoenix, Kane will also complete an outdoor mural in Phoenix’s Arts District.
The exhibition marks the beginning of a curatorial and programmatic partnership between The CAN Foundation and Foursight wherein the CAN Foundation will present periodic exhibitions out of the multi-use space located on Historic Grand Avenue in downtown Phoenix, AZ.
