SATURDAY 30th SEPTEMBER • THE CABARATS • £7 ADV

Roll up. Roll up. The Cabarats are in town!

The Cabarats bring a new musical experience to the global underground, combining traditional Eastern European and Middle Eastern sounds with lively reggae and ska. Using a collection of intriguing instruments such as accordion, oud, keyboard and brass, the band have dazzled a wide range of audiences from festival crowds and stages at iconic venues to private functions and community events.

After releasing their debut album in 2017, the band have had a very exciting journey with highlights including appearing on one of the main stages at Boomtown Fair &, performing on the BBC Introducing stage at Looe Saves the Day. Their list of festival appearances are endless but include Camp Bestival, Tropical Pressure, Chagstock and Goulash Disko in Croatia.

In early 2023, the long-awaited second album ‘A Fool’s Paradise’ was released. The band have seriously upped their game with this release with new genres unlocked and high quality production from Momentum Studios. Several tracks from the album have since been snapped up by several radio stations including BBC Radio Devon and Cornwall.

The Cabarats have had the pleasure of supporting renowned acts such as Dubioza Kollectiv, Tankus the Henge, The Undercover Hippy, and Cut Capers as well as headlining their own shows across the nation and embarking on various European adventures. Once again, The Cabarats set out to share their magic at festivals, venues, parties and even a few street corners. Keep your eyes peeled for a performance near you!

QUOTES:

‘‘The Sounds of Tarantino meets Tiger Lilies at a Gypsy Wedding, hailing from a mountain hideout in Cornwall; The Cabarats set out to guarantee raising the dust of 1000s with vibes everywhere’’ - Chris Tofu (Continental Drifts)

''The Cabarats were probably the highlight of my festival. The vibe that they brought to that tent in the early Sunday evening was palpable. Every single person in that tent was a super-fan by the end of the show. Think eastern European folk, Balkan ska, punk-dub with accordions, ouds, bass and drums flying around all over the place.’’ - Joyzine, Review of Maui Waui Festival 2021

“If you want a band that’ll have you tapping your toes, bobbing your head and bouncing along then it’s The Cabarats you need. With a seamless mix of reggae folk and Balkan ska their lively, unique sound is definitely smile inducing. These talented musicians know how to put on a show and enrapture their audience.” - Rosie, Executive Producer: BBC Radio Cornwall.
