Marlo is a Brooklyn based poet who views poetry as a form of therapy and self expression. She utilizes dynamic storytelling through her vulnerability and animated stage presence to introduce topics of mental health, family, grief, personal identity, and sexuality. She is the curator and host of The Butterfly Effect, a monthly poetry showcase / open mic event held in Brooklyn. Marlo thrives on connection within her community and prioritizes creating spaces for all artists to feel welcome and safe. Through her work she aims to help both herself and her community to navigate through life’s challenges.

Italy Ja'rae Lee is a second-year student at the Atlantic Acting School at Tisch. A multi-talented artist, Italy won the New Jersey state championship of Poetry Out Loud in 2022, which inspired her to write and perform spoken word poetry across New York. She has since performed at venues like the Apollo Victoria Theatre, Count Basie Theatre, S.O.B’s, and the Skirball Center where she won the audience choice award at Ultra Violet Live. Recently, she claimed the title of Teen Slam Champ of NYC after winning Parlee Endeavor's annual “Battle of the Boroughs” competition. With over 100 poems, Italy uses her work to advocate for arts education, dismantle toxic societal narratives, and bridge the gaps between communities.

Jamal is a westchester based poet who takes a playful approach to vulnerability. His poems are a spiritual and astral view on the human experience, heartbreak, love, and self love. His ability to talk about the darkness of his past and what he’s made it through is inspiring and makes him easy to connect with.

Marcus Stokes is a rapper, poet, and actor out of Westchester NY. Blending all different elements of his artistry into his poetry, he creates unique pieces of expression dealing with themes of spirituality, mental health, love, grief and heartbreak. An "artist's artist", whose voice and storytelling as well as experience on stage make every performance a moving one.
