About this Event
Your glutes are the main muscles in your butt. You have three of them: gluteus maximus, gluteus medius and gluteus minimus. When your glutes are strong and functioning properly, they help stabilize your pelvis, support your spine and generate the power you need for walking, climbing stairs, running, lifting and more. When glutes are weak or underactive, other muscles take over in ways they aren’t meant to, which often leads to discomfort, dysfunction and even injury.
Join us for lunch as Dr. Melissa Earles, orthopaedic surgeon with MGC - Orthopaedic and Spine Surgery - Pelham, reviews the gluteal muscles, their role in posture and balance and ways to strengthen them for better mobility and injury prevention.
