About this Event
We're glad to invite you to an inspiring conversation with Maura Gancitano and Andrea Colamedici, who with their project, , have the mission to promote philosophy, psychology, gender studies, and poetry, stimulating reflections on different aspects of life and inspiring connections between ideas and actions.
In The Botany of Wonder, which has been translated into English for the occasion, the authors provocatively ask what beauty means in a world that is dissolving. Drawing on thinkers, philosophers, writers, and artists — including the members of the Titanic's orchestra, who kept playing while the ship was sinking — the guests will show us how wonder and joy should be the main purpose of our actions, and how they can save us by making the most of our technological allies, including AI.
Even though the world around us seems already doomed, new possibilities are still available. We only need to maintain our ability to wonder.
Tlon is a project for the research and promotion of philosophy. Within this framework, Tlon is a publishing house, a library, a podcast, a festival and a space for education.
