Ottawa, the boat is back.
For five summers running, The Desi Troop has taken over the Ottawa River for one night — and for five summers running, it has sold out before the season even properly begins. The Bollywood Boat Party returns Sunday, June 14, with the kind of evening that has become a Capital tradition: a double-decker yacht cutting through the water at sunset, Parliament Hill lit up in the distance, and a sound system built for one purpose — to keep two full decks moving from boarding to docking.
Headlining the bow this year is DJ EXO, Toronto's most in-demand multi-genre selector. Known for blending Bollywood anthems with Afro, Latin, and house in a way that no one else in this country is doing, he tore the roof off our Bollywood Time Machine edition this past April — and the requests to bring him back have not stopped since. He's home where the river meets the bass.
