The Blurtones return to The Railway Inn this July, for their fourth consecutive summertime celebration of Britpop. This time, the band are stripping Britpop back to its raw, fresh roots. Expect a high energy, no ballads set of sharp (some angsty, some cheeky) early era classics from Blur, Supergrass, Pulp, Oasis and more.
The group are skipping the slow, stadium singalongs and the grandiose ballads, to serve up the tracks that broke the genre and took it to the mainstream; the tunes that inspired a generation and built the foundations of the last great British music era.
If you were there in the 90s, come along to re-live what made the era so special, in a live and visceral setting. If you are too young to have experienced Britpop first-hand, join us to get a taste of why it is a time so fondly remembered.
