In 1991, a new eight piece blues and soul band band was formed in Glossop, Derbyshire based on the soul and r n b music and images associated with the cult film classic ‘The Blues Brothers.’ Complete with a four piece brass section and wearing trilby hats and sun-glasses, The Blues Busters took the local music scene by storm quickly breaking attendance records in venues all over the north west whilst maintaining a sell out monthly residency at The Blues Club in Glossop. For the next ten years, the band played both public and private events across the country enjoying a huge following before deciding to limit their performances to very occasional events in the north west of England. Last year, for the first time in ten years, The Blues Busters returned to their home base in Glossop with a seven piece line up featuring four original members of the band and sold out Empire Glossop several weeks in advance. Such was the success of this event, that the band have now confirmed a new AFTERNOON show on SUNDAY MAY 17th. Doors will be open from 2pm for a 3pm show. This concert will include a raffle and the release of a live recording on CD of the band. The proceeds from both the raffle and the live cd will be donated to The Alzheimer's Society

Once again expect classic Blues Brothers material from the cult film alongside many other popular blues and r n b hits designed to get everyone on the dance floor - Sweet Home Chicago/ Minnie the Moocher/ Peter Gunn/ Midnight Hour/ Gimme some Loving/ Knock on Wood and many more.
