About this Event

The Bakery Atlanta is excited to host Fatou Bessem's debut Solo Exhibition, The Black Madonna opening May 3rd, 2024!

Fatou explores the multi-faceted aspects of gender and its racial intersections with a focus on community and connection. The exhibit will feature a surrealist sculpture, a performance-art video, and newly created oil paintings, all funded by Arts & Entertainment Atlanta.


Opening Reception: Friday, May 3rd @ 6pm-9pm

Artist Talk: Friday, May 24th @ 6pm-9pm


This event can accomodate more then 25 people. Please ignore the 25 person capacity assigned by Eventbrite.

One block away from Five Points MARTA Station.

Street parking on Peachtree Street is free on weekdays after 7pm and all day on Sundays. Other streets are free after 10pm, read the ParkMobile signs. You can find several paid lots nearby including 117 Peachtree, 105 MLK Jr, and 76 Forsyth.
