Take a sneak peek at our workshop offerings:
Many of us are working wounded, pushing through challenges like workplace trauma, bruised or broken trust, and trying to bounce back after we have sustained harm. This can impact our confidence and trust in ourselves and others and cause us to feel like we are waiting for the other shoe to drop when trying to be in community with others.
Beyond self-care, self-preservation encompasses how to establish boundaries, create wellness practices for yourself, and prioritize yourself while actively caring for the community. This workshop will explore and brainstorm ways to preserve ourselves as people serving the community and how we heal after being harmed in community space. Our time together will include centering activities like breathing and stretching, small group discussion, and the opportunity to learn new tools to heal and move through harm, grief, and loss.
A Trauma-informed approach assumes that everyone–including our clients, our colleagues, and ourselves–has experienced some kind of trauma and that trauma informs behaviors, needs, and goals. When we use the five central tenets of trauma-informed care–fostering safety, trust, collaboration, choice, and empowerment–we bring an approach that can truly support each other’s wellness. In this session, we will discuss how these principles can be applied within our work and practice these applications through roleplay.
Teams need vision to sustain purpose in their work. Vision casting and visionary leadership are powerful tools in encouraging teams to flourish. Vision also helps organizations understand the long-term results they hope to achieve. In this workshop we will learn about the purpose of visionary leadership, practice skills in casting vision and learn techniques to incorporate vision casting into team meetings. Establishing a team culture that knows where it is going and what will be possible due to its work provides a sense of long-term engagement with the work. Come get your vision on!
