The Black Expo Vendor

The purpose of the Black Expo is to promote economic development through increased exposure for minority-owned businesses. African American owned businesses have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the public and procurement. It is also an opportunity for major corporations and government entities to develop viable working relationships with minority-owned businesses while marketing their products and services to the growing consumer market. The Expo is also a forum to educate, enlighten and inspire the entire community and the African American community in particular. Aside from economic development, exposure to cultural resources is a part of the focus for this event.

This one day event is held in Kansas City, MO at Bartle Hall and is open FREE to the public for the 1st 1000 registrants. This concept was taken from Black Expo USA which was a national event that traveled the country and no longer exists. “Black Expos” are successfully held in cities such as Chicago, New York, and Indianapolis. Black Expo is the largest event of its kind directly targeting the African American community.

Kansas City has a rich history of hosting extraordinary Black Expo Events and we look forward to matching those efforts of the past for years to come.

This event is family-oriented and exposes the community to business opportunities and cultural resources. Business owners have the opportunity to secure exhibitor booths to showcase their products and services.

**We have a paparazzi vendor.

**All food vendors must have food permit from the health department and per convention center must be Sample-size food, of one (2) ounce or less, and/or beverage products consisting of three (3) ounces or less. You are responsible for obtaining permit and will not be refunded if you do not have a permit. You can get a temporary permit here

**Food Vendors interested in serving more than samples inside within the expo will need to discuss rates with Aramark in addition to your vending fee. (There are Buy out fees of up to $500 or 20% of revenue.)

**Food Truck Vendors will need to pay Aramark 10% of revenue in addition to vending fees.

(Aramark is the exclusive vendor for this area within the convention center and would normally use their own vending services and approved food truck vendors. They have to be compensated for their loss of revenue)
