Calling all Kegmaniacs!
We are very excited to announce our NINTH annual ride.
Join us on Saturday, May 18th for #Kegmania_9!
Kegmania is a casual, no-drop "brewery crawl" on two wheels.
We are doing a 15-mile ride to breweries in the River Market, the Crossroads/18th and Vine with a lunch stop, the West Bottoms, and the Northland. We plan to stay about 45 minutes at each beer stop.
This is a SHINE ONLY event. In the case of inclement weather, a decision regarding the ride will be made by 9:15 AM on the day of the ride, and we will try another date.
We LOVE trying new places and this year’s ride features a new brewery that has been getting lots of great reviews in the last year or so. Next door to the brewery is our planned lunch stop. We will also visit our favorite tap room and see some old friends in a new location.
And this year we are excited to include FIVE hearts from the Parade of Hearts!

Here's the plan:
We’ll meet at Macken Park, 31st and Howell in NKC, around 10:30. There is parking along Howell.
Roll-out around 10:45
Ride over the river to our first stop in the River Market.
As we head to our next stop, we’ll check the first Heart.
Roll through the Crossroads to the 18th and Vine District and the ‘new’ brewery and lunch stop. Also, a Heart location.
Cruise to the West Bottoms. Check out a heart on our way.
Then, back over the river to our last stop, see the last two hearts and finish at the park.
Any ol' bike will do. This is a very accessible ride. We normally use our hybrid/comfort bikes for the ride.
Want to ride but you don’t have a bike? We have a fix for that. Rent an E-Bike for the day from Ride KC.

This is always a fun way to spend an afternoon with some great people. We will be rolling along enjoying the craft beer boom that has taken over the city. And supporting some great small businesses along the way.
Beer-themed attire is encouraged!

Please note:
This is an unaffiliated and self-supported ride. Please make sure your bike is in good working condition. It is recommended that riders wear helmets, use daytime running lights, carry bottles of water and a payment method for lunch and beers. Cash is always a good idea.
It is an urban ride. So it is also recommended that riders bring a spare tube and CO2 or an air pump. All roads are regularly used by motorists. We will use bike lanes and bike routes wherever possible. Riders participate at their own risk and are expected to obey all traffic laws and practice safe riding etiquette.
And when you are driving, please be aware of cyclists on the road. You don't get any points for hitting a cyclist. :P
