About this Event
Come learn about the process of labor and delivery with two birth doulas! This class will help pregnant mothers (or those who will become pregnant) create a birth plan and feel more informed and empowered about the birth process. Topics covered will include comfort and pain relief during labor, techniques for relaxation, and an overview of the stages of labor.

Maddie Fuhrman & Lily Freestone are Johns Hopkins School of Nursing students pursuing their master's degrees. They are certified birth doulas with the Birth Companions program at Johns Hopkins who have partnered with over 30 pregnant women in the community combined. They are trained to conduct prenatal meetings, assist with birth plans, provide comfort and support throughout the entire pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum period. Their goal is to help birthing people feel empowered and informed about their pregnancy process and options.
