David Scott, a past president of Nature Lethbridge, will relay the tale of how he and co-author Gavin McKinnon took leave of their senses and ventured to write a new guide to Alberta's birds. A journey marked by chaotic bouts of excitement, despair, hope, regret, (over)confidence, and exhaustion, the making of A Field Guide to the Birds of Alberta is nearing its conclusion, as the book is set for release in May! The presentation will feature both entertaining anecdotes and glimpses into the wondrously diverse birdlife with which we share our province.
