About this Event
In 2026, we will be running our fourth annual sea swimming event; we plan to run a dual location sea swim to ensure that you are part of the UK’s biggest sea swimming event to celebrate International Women’s Day and champion women across the UK.
On Saturday 14th March, 2026 - we will have two locations running The Big Swim - Brighton in East Sussex and Sandbanks in Hampshire.
The Big Swim is run by PinkNicky
The Brighton event is hosted by Sea Lanes, Brighton
The Dorset event is hosted by Land and Wave, Poole
NEW THIS YEAR:
We are asking every person who signs up to take one action to support, help or elevate women in your community. You will be asked to write this down when purchasing your ticket. Our aim is to collect 1000 actions from our swimmers!
The aim of the event:
- To celebrate IWD 2026 and to gather 1000+ of the South Coast’s Sea Swimmers in two places at one time for two very big photos
- Unite us all through our love of the sea and show our support for women worldwide.
- Create a noisy, colourful spectacle on the beach
- To support #IWD2026
- Fundraise for Surfers Against Sewage

Tickets cannot be refunded but you can pass them on - please update your Eventbrite ticket details or send a message to [email protected]

Tickets:
Tickets are £10.00 - all ticket revenue ensures full safety support on land and in the sea during the event.
£2.00 from each ticket will go to Surfers Against Sewage.

Things to remember:
Be prepared for all weathers.
Please do not attend the event without a ticket, as we have a strict maximum number of swimmers.
All ticket holders will be checked in at the Registration Tent and given a visible identifier. This ensures our safety team can easily confirm who is registered and cleared to swim.
Please leave extra time for parking, as the surrounding areas can get very busy.
