About this Event
THE BIG SIT is the biggest picnic Princeton’s ever seen -- and we have the enormous picnic blanket to prove it.
You’re invited to come sit, play, snack, and connect at this great gingham gathering. This isn’t your kids’ after school picnic or a sad family reunion in Toledo, but the best way to meet your neighbors, swap recipes, blow bubbles, and discover your picnic personality.
Choose your own adventure: pack a pop tart or elevate the picnic experience with an elaborate set-up. Whether it’s a bucket of fried chicken, Japanese take out, or a homemade fancy five-course meal, it’s all good at THE BIG SIT.
Bring along board games, cards, books, beach balls, hula hoops, sketchbooks, embroidery, kids, well behaved dogs -- we just ask that you keep it screen-free. We’re going analog here, people!
You’ll find us in Community Park South on Saturday, June 6 from 12-3pm. If we need it, the Rain Date is the following day, Sunday, June 7, at the same time.
THE BIG SIT is free to attend. This brand-new community event was made possible by Timothy M. Andrews and we’re incredibly grateful for the support. Learn more about how you can support our work to keep Princeton creative, connected, and best of all... fun.
