On 4th February Scarborough Jazz club welcomes The Big Easy. Since 2014 this band has been busy playing at some of the UK’s top venues, including the world-famous Ronnie Scott's and touring throughout the UK and beyond. Their repertoire is carefully chosen to give a varied performance from the early days of jazz, classic New Orleans tunes through to lively jump-jive and beyond. Their dynamic, energetic and often virtuosic performances make them great to watch and, if you feel like it, and there is space in our current venue, perfect for dancing too. High-energy swing is interspersed with moments of soulful-melancholy.
Led by trumpeter/vocalist Jon Scully, the band features Alex Fisher on saxophone, Harry Orme on guitar and vocals, Sam Jackson on double bass and John Arnesen on drums.
