Indulge in a grown-up celebration of storytelling, a tradition as old as the first flicker of firelight.Step into the opulent world of Victorian parlours, where ghost stories were not just entertainment but an art form. First published in 1891, Jerome K. Jerome—celebrated author of Three Men in a Boat—offers a witty and spine-tingling parody of this beloved pastime. His comic horror tales, narrated with delicious unreliability, are laced with nonsense, suspense, and a dash of whiskey-punch.
Join master storyteller Gav Cross for an atmospheric retelling that promises laughter, chills, and a touch of decadence.
Your evening begins at 7pm with a stew supper (or veggie alternative) and the show starts at 7:45pm, the lights dim and the storytelling begins, a raucous, suspenseful journey through Jerome’s classic tales, brought vividly to life.
Let the flicker of candlelight and the whisper of ghostly tales transport you to a world of elegance and intrigue.
Tickets for show: £12.00 per person (£8 for child age 14+)
Supper (meat / veg stew) will be on offer for a suggested donation of £5 (payable on the night).
All proceeds to Ebberston Village Hall. Reg charity: 523346
