Free Workshops For KidsThe Big Dig is one of the most exciting hands-on experiences at this year’s Timahoe Heritage Festival.
Young explorers aged 6–12 can step into the shoes of an archaeologist and take part in an excavation of a Viking house with The School of Irish Archaeology. Carefully uncover hidden artefacts, learn how real excavations work, and discover what life was like over 1,000 years ago.
Free to attend thanks to support from Laois County Council & The Heritage Council, but advance booking is essential as places are limited.
