Things are about to get BIG at this year's Big Dig!
The Big Dig is once-in-a-lifetime chance for kids and teens to drive, ride, and play on more than a dozen heavy equipment construction machines! While on the equipment, riders are under the supervision of trained operators from leading local construction companies. Huge hauling trucks, bulldozers, skid steers, excavators, dump trucks, boom trucks, concrete mixer trucks, and other machinery will be on site. It is highly recommended to purchase tickets and sign waivers in advance online to make check-in at the event seamless.
The Big Dig is part of the Northern Kentucky Regional Construction Partnership that received a Kentucky Work Ready Skills Initiative funding award. Workforce Development is the focus of this event to not only entertain children and their loved ones but to introduce those in attendance to the career opportunities available in the construction trades.
K ids 5 and older are able to ACTUALLY OPERATE the equipment on site (under heavy supervision of trained professionals, of course)!
While the littles who are 4 and under cannot operate the equipment, they are still able to climb and play on our various stationary machines that will be set up at the event! This is a great opportunity for tons of photos!
L astly, there will be a HUGE sand dune for all kids to dig and play in throughout the day!
To ensure a smooth experience for all attendees, please note the following:
• Any changes or cancellations must be made by 3 working days, March 24th, to avoid any applicable fees.
• If you are unable to attend and do not cancel within the required timeframe, you may be responsible for any associated costs.
• Pre-payment for events is a policy of the BIA, please ensure it is completed by event deadline, if applicable.
