The Big Apple, choreographed by Frankie Manning in 1937, is an iconic circle dance that Lindy Hoppers all over the world learn to better understand the essential jazz dance steps of the time. Similar to the Shim Sham, it's a dance that can be spontaneously performed at social events.

I am opening up my Jammers sessions for the month of June, to anyone who would like to learn this routine. No partner required, but you will need to have some experience of jazz steps.
You may have recently done Su Gorrie’s Big Apple workshop and would like to refresh, or perhaps you’ve never learned it before. Now is your chance!
This is also a great way to experience our Jammers rehearsals and have an insight into whether you’d be interested in joining our troupe on a regular weekly basis.
** Thursdays 7.30-9.30pm (6th, 13th, 20th, 27th)
** £15 per week (payable cash on the door or bank transfer prior to event)
** Roborough Recreation Hall, New Road, Roborough, Plymouth, Devon PL6 7FJ
You don’t have to do all of the sessions, however please be aware that I will be teaching different sequences of the routine each week.
