Have you ever considered that historical artifacts are open and accessible outside, not just indoors in museum exhibits? Your local cemetery is a time capsule filled with intriguing artifacts. Each headstone is plastered with clues about the deceased, those who once walked where you’re walking now. Join Erin as she presents techniques for cemetery sleuthing and teaches us the meaning behind cemetery iconography, abbreviations, epitaphs and more.
A Beginner’s Guide to Cemetery Sleuthing will be presented by Author Erin Moulton on
Wed., April 2, 2025 at the Nashua Historical Society, 5 Abbott St., Nashua, NH 03064. Doors open 6:30, presentation begins 7 pm. Refreshments will follow.
The program will take place in the comfortable library located in the Florence H. Speare Memorial Museum, 5 Abbott Street, Nashua, NH. The building is accessible with padded chairs, large bathrooms, an elevator between floors and a ramp inside from the free parking area off Crescent Street. Erin E. Moulton writes books and tracks dead people. As a genealogical researcher, she has explored the lives of the departed for over 14 years. holds a B.A. from Emerson College, an M.F.A. from the Vermont College of Fine Arts, and a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University. She is an award-winning author of middle grade and young adult books.
