DISABILITY REPRESENTATION The character of Connor was inspired by Dusti’s husband and two daughters who have tic disorders. The newly introduced character of Amanda is heavily inspired by her 17-year-old daughter’s struggles with both Tourette Syndrome and obsessive-compulsive disorder, which frequently occur together. Her husband and children actively vet all her work and representation.
