Vern Littley, Ex-Royal Artillery, takes us to Nonne Bosschen (Nuns Wood) east of the famous town of Ypres. He will talk about the battlefield as it is in the present day. Then he will take us back to the battle in 1914 and tell the story of how XLI Brigade Royal Field Artillery stopped the Prussian Guard in their tracks. Vern is a battlefield guide and an MA graduate in Great War Studies from Wolverhampton University.
Why not come along and find out more? Members and non-members of The Western Front Association are equally welcome. Anyone new to our group is guaranteed a friendly atmosphere, and a warm welcome over a cuppa. Parking is free, but we ask visitors for a small donation of £4 to cover room hire and speakers’ expenses.
