The Auxiliary is a synth-driven, indie-pop project based in the Carrboro/Chapel Hill, NC area, spearheaded by singer-songwriter Russell Howard. Known for blurring lines between pop and indie folk, the project evolved from acoustic roots, with 2023's EP Overture marking a shift toward DAW-based songwriting and heavy synth layers.

We’re a group of seasoned performers sort of a supergroup 3 of us from NY Singer Tim Crist was on VH1 at one point, Drummer Von Klaw left Electric Frankenstein after their Japan Tour, founder Skip Lunch came to NC after soreading the gospel of punk rock in China for 9 years etc.
