The Auction is a play exploring the breakable and unbreakable bonds in daughter-father relationships, the mental trauma associated with helping aging parents divest themselves of a lifetime of “stuff”, and the presence of nuclear power in Canada. Part confession, part ritual, and part absurd comedy, this intimate performance offers a deeper understanding of what we demand to hold onto, and why.
