About this Event
The Assembly is an interactive theatre-meets-board-game experience about sustainability and democracy. During every performance, student audience members form The Assembly, where they are invited to work together to balance their city’s current needs with the needs of future generations. This is an interactive experience for grade 6-8 students where theatre, strategy, and social activism meet. This show is a fun, cooperative 75-minute challenge that gives students the chance to collaborate, deepen their empathy, and understand their impact on future generations. We believe it's crucial that we show the power of empathy to young people before they can vote, earn money, and make their most important life decisions.
While this school tour is intended for grades 6-8, our public performance will be OPEN TO ALL AGES!
In addition to the public showing on November 30, THE ASSEMBLY will come to northwest Toronto schools in Fall 2024, from November 25 to December 7. If you’re interested in bringing The Assembly to your school, email [email protected].
