Virginia and the Slims is a jump blues and swing band from Asheville. With melodies swinging in the saxophone and electric guitar, female blues blues vocals pay tribute to the style originating during World War II and living on as the root of many other musical styles. You are sure to be delighted, tap your toes and (if you're feeling brave), wiggle your hips to the upbeat music of this top quality bad. For over a decade Virginia and the Slims has entertained listeners. Come on out and be entertained!

Mark’s House Jam is a long running jam hosted by the Asheville Guitar Bar. Through a gracious partnership with Terra Nova Beer Co., we are happy to present the jam at this fine venue and brewery in downtown Asheville.
Hosted by Mark Goldthwaite and featuring musicians from the WNC community and beyond! It’s an afternoon of music and community with musicians and friends.
