The first part of our session begins with a presentation by Danny Green on the Art of Wildlife Photography at our Green Barn. Danny will draw on his experience and use examples from many years as a wildlife photographer and his travels around the world in search of the perfect wildlife photographs.We will then head out into the 'field', in actuality the autumn woodland of Leigh Woods, in order to put some of those principles into practice with our own photography. Danny will be on hand to help and guide you in your own efforts. We finish back at our Green Barn with a hot drink and the chance to draw again on Danny's knowledge and expertise in relation to your own photography from the morning session.
This course takes place at Leigh Woods nature reserve, where participants will be able to explore the ancient woodland habitat with its variety of native trees, plants, insects, mammals and birds. It is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The course can be for beginners in photography, and is also suitable for those who have prior experience of taking wildlife photographs. You will need to bring your own camera, which can be as simple as an iPhone or a much more advanced model.

Danny Green is a multiple award-winning wildlife photographer, based in the UK. He has been photographing the natural world for over 25 years and has always been a dedicated Canon shooter, mainly working with film in the early years and later fully embracing digital technology. His approach to photographing nature is a long process and he can sometimes spend months, if not years, working on subjects and projects. He has won many prizes in some of the most respected wildlife photography competitions around the world. His work is represented by some of the leading natural history picture agencies and his images are published on a regular basis around the world.
