Trompe L’oeil Paintings (French for “trick the eye”) are a genre of painting used for hundreds of years. They are created to give an effect of reality or forced perspective. Join Emma Rach-Syslak for an in-depth journey into painting illusion.
Using oil paint, you will learn how to render specific surfaces to create realistic textures and elements, all while adding depth and dimension with the use of light and shadow. Create a composition that is uniquely yours through the art of Trompe L’oeil.
