About this Event
The Art of Pairing is a fun, interactive tasting event designed for connoisseurs and curious beginners eager to explore how food and wine complement each other.
Led by L'OCA's sommelier Danylo, this intimate tasting experience explores FIVE exceptional wines, each thoughtfully matched with a delectable assortment of cheeses and charcuterie.
You'll gain a deeper understanding of how wine and food interact and learn how to better develop your palate as Danylo guides you through each selection.
Throughout the evening, you'll explore:
- Paladin Pinot Grigio (Italy) paired with Fresh Mozzarella
Fresh, crisp, and elegant, this Pinot Grigio shows notes of green apple, pear, and citrus zest. Its bright acidity cuts through the creamy texture whilst refreshing the palate. - Altass Orange Wine (Spain) paired with Spice-Sweet Olives
Textured and expressive, this orange wine offers aromas of dried apricot, orange peel, and subtle spice. Its gentle tannins and savoury depth make it a fascinating match for richer cheeses and umami-driven flavours. - Ricasoli Rosé (Italy) paired with Mild Salami
Bright and refreshing with notes of wild strawberry, cherry, and fresh herbs, this rosé brings balance and versatility. It bridges white and red wines beautifully, pairing effortlessly with both cheese and cured meats. - Paladin Salbanello (Italy) paired with Mortadella
Smooth and approachable, Salbanello offers ripe red fruit, soft tannins, and a hint of spice. Its gentle structure makes it an excellent match for creamy cheeses and lightly cured meats. - Tridente Tempranillo (Spain) paired with Aged Manchego
Bold and full-bodied, this Tempranillo offers layers of dark and red fruit with notes of oak and spice. Crafted from old vines and aged in French oak, its depth and structure make it a perfect match for the nutty richness of aged Manchego.
