Andina is a Venezuelan, Latina women-owned catering company based in San Francisco, specializing in traditional comfort and street food. Inspired by Chef Victoria Lozano’s childhood memories growing up in Venezuela—where arepas were part of everyday life—Andina brings authentic flavors to the Bay Area. From crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-on-the-inside arepas to handcrafted empanadas, our mission is to share the vibrant taste and culture of Venezuela through every bite.
This hands-on workshop introduces you to the art of making traditional Venezuelan arepas from scratch. You’ll learn how to prepare the dough, shape and cook the arepas to crispy perfection, and fill them with Reina Pepiada, a classic chicken and avocado salad. Along the way, we’ll share tips, techniques, and a taste of Venezuelan culture in a fun and welcoming environment.
