Presenting the 9th annual Art of Flowers!
Opening Show is Friday, June 5th, from 7 to 9 pm at The Music Studio located at 2192 Eastex Freeway. Free admission and family friendly.
The Art of Flowers Finale, featuring the “Special Floral Inspirational Pieces,” will be August 20th at the Dishman Art Museum. Florists from the Golden Triangle will come and choose a piece of art from the show to then create a floral arrangement inspired by the piece. The arrangement and the piece it was inspired by will show side-by-side the night of the event!
- ATTENTION FLORISTS -
Each florist may enter one arrangement for the Opening Show. No rules. Arrangements may be dropped off the day of the event, June 5th, between noon 5 pm at The Music Studio. In order to participate please call the studio in advance at 409-529-4851.
For the Finale at the Dishman, August 20th, each florist may choose one piece of art from the show to then create a "Special Inspirational Piece.” The arrangement and the piece chosen will show side-by-side the night of the Finale!
- ATTENTION ARTISTS -
All artists and all mediums are accepted. Must have a flower in or on it somewhere. One entry per artist. Entries may be dropped off May 27th and 28th between 4 and 7 pm. $20 entry fee. 10 percent commission on all art that sells. The studio will provide labels. All art that is to hang on the wall must have a proper wire on the back. All free-standing sculptures must have a firm base. If you have any questions please call the studio at 409-529-4851.
All art pieces submitted will be eligible to be chosen for the “Special Floral Inspirational Pieces.” Florists will come and each choose a piece of art from the show to then create a floral arrangement inspired by the piece chosen. If chosen, you will be notified prior to the Finale. Keep up-to-date to the event page because as artists are chosen posts will be made.
