When: Saturday, April 18th, 1:30–4:30 PMJoin this 3-hour guided art + cheese workshop (all materials & tastings included) — a premium creative experience.
Celebrate the art of the cheesemaker with both your taste buds and your painter’s palate. In this sensory-rich workshop, local cheesemonger Teri Tith of TalkingCheese.com will present a curated selection of artisanal cheeses. You’ll sample each one, then choose a cheese that truly speaks to you—and paint its portrait.
No need to be a Dutch Master (promise). We’ll take inspiration from classic Dutch still-life painters, including Floris van Dijck, alongside modern American artist Wayne Thiebaud, exploring how artists across centuries have celebrated food as both sustenance and subject.
Using acrylic paint and an impasto technique, you’ll capture the texture, color, and irresistible presence of cheese, focusing on bold color, form, and luscious surface.
Each participant will select one cheese to paint, enjoying generous tastings as they work.
All materials are included, along with a selection of cheeses and nibbles to enjoy during class.
