Arm balancing is already part of your practice, even in foundational postures like Downward Dog, Chaturanga and Side Plank.In this 2.5 hour workshop, we’ll explore arm balancing in a way that is progressive, structured, and accessible.
The session begins with a full-body warm up, preparing the wrists, shoulders, and core while building the strength and mobility required to support the hands.
You’ll learn how to organise your body efficiently, from hand positioning and wrist preparation to shoulder engagement and weight distribution, with a strong emphasis on safety and longevity.
From there, we’ll build through foundational shapes such as Plank, Side Plank, and Crow, before progressing into a range of intermediate and more advanced arm balances.
Along the way, you’ll develop a clearer understanding of how balance works, and how to approach these postures with more confidence and control.
This workshop is suitable for students looking to begin arm balancing, as well as those wanting to refine and expand their existing practice.
