About this Event
One performance can genuinely change your life.
You show up expecting to hear good music and meet a few people, then somehow leave with new friends, future collaborators, creative momentum, unexpected opportunities, group chats, plans for the rest of the summer, and a reminder that the city can still feel exciting, inspiring, and full of possibility.
What to expect: a high energy NYC open mic and creative mixer bringing together artists, musicians, poets, performers, filmmakers, designers, photographers, writers, and creatives from all over the city for a night of live performances, conversation, networking, music, community, and connection in one of the most iconic cultural spaces in New York.
This is not one of those networking events where everybody awkwardly exchanges LinkedIns and disappears.
People actually build relationships here.
The room fills with live music, poetry, open mic performances, conversations between strangers, artists sharing work, people introducing each other to collaborators, and the kind of creative chemistry that reminds you why people move to NYC in the first place.
A lot of people attend alone, so there is no pressure to already know someone. The atmosphere is intentionally welcoming, social, and easy to step into whether you are an established artist or someone just starting to put themselves out there.
Artists attend to:
• Meet collaborators
• Make friends
• Perform in front of new audiences
• Network naturally without pressure
• Share work and creative projects
• Find inspiration and motivation
• Discover opportunities across NYC
• Feel part of something bigger than themselves
Expect:
• Live music and open mic performances
• Poetry, spoken word, comedy, and storytelling
• Artist networking and collaboration
• Creative community from across NYC
• Music, conversation, and social energy
• A welcoming environment for solo attendees
• One of the most exciting creative mixers of the NYC summer
• The kind of night people end up talking about afterward
As the night goes on the entire atmosphere transforms. Conversations spread across the room. Artists exchange Instagrams. Someone invites you to another event. Someone asks about your work. Someone remembers your name. Someone you meet here might genuinely change the direction of your creative life.
It feels less like attending an event and more like stepping into the version of New York everybody hopes to find when they first move here.
The Art Meetup is independently organized and community supported. Your contribution helps cover the real costs of creating welcoming spaces where people can make art, meet new friends, and feel part of something bigger.
If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, RSVP now and give yourself something to look forward to.

Bring your art, your ideas, your friends, or just yourself.
Either way you will probably leave with more than you came with.
The Art Meetup exists to bring artists, musicians, performers, and creative people together offline in real life. Good energy, live performances, conversation, and community. RSVP while tickets are still available.
