DJs are more than performers. They’re curators, translators, and architects of culture at the intersection of sound, tech, and influence.
About this Event

Join Tech & Culture Lab at the intersection of sound, technology, and culture. We'll explore how DJs have evolved into more than performers.. they are curators, translators, and architects of influence in a digitally driven world.

This conversation explores how streaming platforms, algorithms, and global access to music are reshaping the art of DJing. As technology increasingly informs how music is discovered, selected, and experienced, DJs are navigating a landscape where creative intuition must coexist with data, systems, and scale.

Grounded in this shift, the panel will examine how DJs maintain authenticity while leveraging technology to expand their reach, refine their sound, and shape cultural moments across cities and communities.

From playlists to performance, this discussion highlights how DJs are redefining their role in a world where culture and code coexist, and what that means for the future of music, influence, and creative control.

Panelists:

Kendrick Tilghman (DJ 5 Starr)

Timothy Jones (DJ Tim Nice)

Sterlin Brown (DJ Supream)

Sounds by: Ratchet Rome
