The Arc of Wilson County is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization who promotes and supports activities in Wilson County that benefit the lives of citizens with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) living in the community;- To support the activities of the state and national organizations;
- To work within the Wilson County community to develop programs that will benefit the citizens with I/DD;
- To further develop programs in the future to benefit all citizens with I/DD.
We achieve this mission through social programs designed to promote inclusion, advocacy, and self-confidence for all of our participants, from the ages of 0 to 99, and their caregivers.
- The Wilson Gobble Wobble is our annual fundraiser. All of the proceeds go to benefit The Arc of Wilson County and its programs.
- The Wilson Gobble Wobble 5K and 1-mile family fun run, walk, or wobble is open to people of ALL AGES & ABILITIES
- The Wilson Gobble Wobble was started as a way for families to start their Thanksgiving off with a little exercise together so they could enjoy guilt-free turkey (or any other Thanksgiving meal) during the holiday
