About this Event
What began as a CSUN Thesis Film, slowly evolved over these past 2 and half years into a sprawling 32 minute journey into the lives of a Palestinian-Americans family attempting to navigate a post 9/11 America.
Please arrive in a timely manner. The film begins promptly at 7:15. Please only secure your ticket if you plan to attend, as seats are limited. All donations go towards making this one-night event possible. Drinks and concessions will be availble for purchase at the venue.
Synopsis:
Salim, a young Palestinian musician returns home to celebrate his parent’s wedding anniversary. Upon his arrival, he and his family’s true priorities are put into question when his mother requests that he drop out of college in order to help their struggling family business. Now with his future on the line, Salim must choose between his personal ambitions and his responsibilities to the family that raised him.
