The knife attack is one of the most brutally savage and violent attacks you can encounter. There are many martial arts and fighting styles that say they have the answer to defend against a knife wielding attacker... however most, if not all, come up way short when faced with the realities of a real world committed attack. Since 1998 our parent company, NLB Tactical, has built its reputation on training Military and Law Enforcement Units (mainly at the Special Teams level) how to survive and take down real world threats of being attacked with a knife. NLB Tactical was founded by Martial Arts Hall of Famer Hank Hayes and originally centered around his invention of the "No Lie Blade" which is a training marking blade designed to give immediate feedback for your knife defense technique and see if it worked, or didn't. The No Lie Blade was so revolutionary it completely created a new category for training and training products. With the success of the blade, Hank quickly recognized that the men and women that keep this Country safe and who were using the tool didn't have the necessary training to fend off a knife attack. They needed the type of training that would give them results NOW!! They needed a system that is highly effective, easy to do, easy to learn, and most importantly easy to remember in high stress environments. Something that works for most people, on most people, in most situations. Thus the NLB Knife Defense System was born.
The ISP Anatomy of a Knife Attack course is the same training we give to the Military and Law Enforcement Units only without the yelling, screaming, and high pressure testing evolutions and is tailored, not watered down, for the everyday person. These techniques have been pressure tested in real word operational environments, on multiple continents, and have been proven time and time again to work!!
This is not a "YMCA Self-Defense Class" nor is it some McDojo bullshit. This is learning how to survive and dominate in a real world, literally fight for your life, situation. This course will shift your mindset to become a hard target by developing your situational awareness and, if needed, to approach and win every fight you may find yourself in.

- How to "angle off" from an incoming attack and close distance.
- How to capture your attackers weapon barring limb.
- How to find and strike "High Valued Targets" and totally disrupt your attackers O.O.D.A. Loop.
- How people carry and attack with knives.
- How to effectively carry and weld a knife.
- Develop a winning "No Fail Option" mindset.
- How to be a hard target in your daily life.
- Develop your security, mobility, and explosivity.
- How to approach and win every fight you may find yourself in. (Avoid fights whenever able, but when its go-time, WIN!!).
- How to use savage, brutal, explosive, violence of action to cause damage at every opportunity until the threat stops (Never using more force than necessary to neutralize threats).
- Situational Awareness (before, during, and after an attack).
