9am Check-In – 10am start
Entry fee: $60 per team of 2 ($30 each person)"
Prize: TBD – Last year we paid out $2000 in cash. We are able to do this due to our great sponsors!!
Format:
The AYGC presents a day long yard games competition in which teams of 2 compete in various yard games throughout the course of a day (prelims and playoffs) and a winner is crowned; both receiving trophies, and a cash prize.
When: Saturday, June 27th, 2026
*Check-in will begin at 9am – Games start at 10am sharp.
– Each team will be designated a division for pool play via a random live draw.
Where: Gratwick Hose Fire Hall – 110 Ward Road, North Tonawanda, NY 14120
Event will happen rain or shine!
Prizes: Full cash prize payout. Determined based on entries!

Prelims:
Teams are randomly sorted into equal divisions based on the number of teams that have signed up to participate. Teams will then play a random team in their division in one of the games listed above. After 9 rounds (including a bye), the top 2 teams in each division will advance to the playoffs.
Playoffs:
This year, for the co-ed bracket, due to the size of the event, co-ed teams that make the main bracket will choose between the co-ed bracket and main bracket and will not participate in both.
Based on the number of teams that have signed up, the number of teams that will make the playoffs will be determined and announced prior to event commencement.
The event will continue with a single elimination playoff bracket, best of 3 format, where the better seed picks game 1, the worse seed picks game 2, and game three is decided in a manner to be determined later.
From there, you can no longer pick the same game again until the final round. This ensures an equal playing field where teams must be great at all games to be crowned champion.
In the finals, game choices are reset and a best of 5 will commence where each team will choose to eliminate one of the games. Then the higher seed will choose 2 games and lower seed 3 games and the finals will begin.
The Winner:
The winning team will be crowned the American Yard Games Champions, receive a trophy, have your name engraved for future years, as well as a cash prize.
