The ALL Y'ALL Barn Dance is a brand-new event with the goal of bringing new dancers and experienced social dancers from different Gainesville communities together in one place. For this event, we'll be featuring ceilidh dancing (pronounced "kaylee"), contra dancing, and line dancing, along with a slew of super-fun beginner-friendly barn dances.
LIVE MUSIC! We're welcoming back our All Y'all All Stars, Pithlachocco Revival! That's Kevin Moran on fiddle, Vickie Frazier on banjo, and Ted Strauss on guitar.
Our first event was a HUGE SUCCESS, but this series is still young! If we keep the momentum going (i.e., if you and all your friends come!) we'll continue to run these events, and can feature a wider variety of your favorite social dances as a result.
The ALL Y'ALL will be hosted at the Gainesville Event Emporium — aka the GEE — on 16th Ave between 6th and Main. Address in the event details.
Please note that there is not much parking at the venue itself, but there is ample street parking in the neighborhood, as well as at the school across the street and in the northwest corner of the Publix lot nearby. Carpooling is encouraged where possible! The building is gorgeous and will be a pleasure to dance in.
