The Alchemy of Elderberry: Plant Walk, Medicine Making, & Mythology

Join us for a seasonal walk through the Alpine Meadows, where we’ll learn to identify local medicinal plants and observe the transition between seasonal rhythms. After the walk, we’ll gather to make elderberry syrup together—each participant will go home with their own bottle of herb-infused elderberry-honey syrup, recipes, and ideas for using other parts of the elder plant. The class will also include a plant sit meditation, and teachings on the ethnobotany, mythology, and phytochemistry of this most revered plant.
