The Albany Sound January EditionJoin us this January for another instalment of The Albany Sound Original night, celebrating original music from the Great Southern. This month, three outstanding artists take the stage, each bringing their own voice, stories, and sound to an evening of original live music.
The Skipjacks | 5PM
Opening the night, The Skipjacks present original acoustic blues and folk driven by rich storytelling and exceptional guitar work. Performing on National guitars, with harmonica, and harmonies the duo delivers a raw, authentic sound shaped by character, place, and narrative.

Primordial Notes | 6PM
Primordial Notes are a local, up-and-coming acoustic duo from Denmark, featuring violin and guitars. Their original folk-inspired songs are carried by beautiful harmony vocals and a natural, expressive sound that highlights their emerging talent and strong musical connection.
Simone Keane | 7PM
Award-winning singer-songwriter Simone Keane closes the night with her distinctive blend of contemporary folk, country, and blues. Known for her warm, ethereal vocals and heartfelt storytelling, Simone delivers performances rich in authenticity and emotional depth.
A two-time WAM Song of the Year winner, she has collaborated with Grammy Award winner Lucky Oceans and Ben Franz of The Waifs, and has supported Ash Grunwald on his Southwest WA tour.
