The AI Revolution is Here – Preparing the Workforce for Change
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the major developments of our time. As AI has made its way into a wide variety of industries, including business, government, healthcare, education, finance, law, entertainment and media, manufacturing, banking and transportation, its impact to the workforce will be tremendous. According to a LinkedIn report released in August 2023, 44% of executives plan to increase their use of AI in the next year and 47% believe it will increase productivity.
In the field of HR, the integration of AI has emerged as a transformative force. AI technologies have the potential to revolutionize HR processes, enabling organizations to streamline operations, improve decision-making, and elevate employee experiences. While change can be daunting, AI tools offer several key benefits to HR departments, streamlining their workflows and supporting improved decision-making, resulting in benefits such as increased efficiency, reduced costs and better decision-making.
In this session, the author of The AI Revolution is Here – Preparing the Workforce for Change and respected labor and employment attorney, Christopher Boucher, Esq., is going to address key strategic issues affecting HR such as:
- Are your employees embracing HR?
- Can AI Replace Human Jobs?
- What New Jobs Will Emerge from AI?
- Impact of AI to the Workforce
- Creating Efficiency & Enhancing Work-Life Balance with Use of AI
- Training the Workforce to Adapt AI
- Labor & Bargaining Issues Involving AI
- Potential Impact of AI to Wages
- Potential Legal Issues with AI in the Employment Setting, such as Discrimination, Bias, Disability Accommodation, Safety Issues, and Legislations Ahead
- AI in the Age of DE&I
- Braving the “Unknown” – Issues Ahead with Use of AI
- HR’s Role in Maintaining Ethics in Use of AI
- Practical Steps in Implementing AI in the Workplace
Importantly, one of the key themes of the book is to also emphasize the importance of not forgetting the “human factor,” so that while organizations and HR can achieve the benefits above, it can also ensure that its most important asset, its people, are at the core center of change.
