The Actor’s Toolkit: Headshots • Reel • Industry MindsetTaught & Photographed by a Working SAG-AFTRA Actor
Condensed into two intensive, 4-hour masterclasses, this workshop series provides aspiring dramatists with everything they need to launch or elevate their acting careers. Whether taken individually or as a comprehensive bundle, students receive face-to-face training, real career coaching, and professional-grade portfolio assets.
Class 1: The Industry Blueprint & Headshot Session (4 Hours)
● Industry Mindset & Coaching: Real-world career strategies, understanding the business of acting, résumé building, and mastering submission strategies.
● Vocal & Fitness Techniques: Warm-ups and physical preparations necessary for maintaining stamina on set and in auditions.
● Professional Headshot Shoot: A live, directed photoshoot where students apply their mindset training in front of the lens. You will receive 2 professionally retouched headshots. (Note: As an actor/photographer, the instructor will personally shoot and direct your session).
Class 2: On-Camera Mastery & The Reel Shoot (4 Hours)
● On-Camera Technique: Transitioning stage skills to the screen, mastering eye lines, framing, and hitting marks.
● Self-Tape Secrets: How to light, shoot, and read for self-tapes that book rooms.
● Demo Reel Production: A live production set environment. Students will perform and shoot a fully directed scene. This scene will be professionally edited and delivered for your demo reel.
