After months of preparation in our ateliers, the moment has finally arrived: together with the entire team, we are bringing this extraordinary exhibition to life. A heartfelt thank you to everyone whose dedication, creativity, and support have made this project possible.
The Absurd and The Dreamlike marks a unique collaboration between Arne Quinze and Joana Vasconcelos, transforming the historic citadel into a space where imagination, experimentation, and creative dialogue take centre stage.
Developed through months of studio visits, conversations, site explorations, and shared research, the exhibition explores what happens when two distinct artistic universes meet, interact, and evolve together. Bringing together individual works alongside newly conceived collaborative pieces, it invites visitors into a world where the poetic, the unexpected, and the dreamlike blur the boundaries between reality and imagination.
